ASÍ REACCIONÓ LA MISS MUNDO FILIPINA 2016 TRAS HABER SIDO DERROTADA.

Tenía demasiado peso a sus espaldas, en fotos no me impactaba hasta que la vi en video, automáticamente la coloque en mi top 2, se veía muy preparada, creo que tenía la mejor oratoria del concurso o por lo menos una de las mejores si.

para me, esta miss era bastante linda (de cara), mas nunca consegui visualizar como ganadora de mw, inclusive durante este mw no me agrado tanto porq era opacada por varias otras candidatas. durante final sy me agrado, mas no para ganar, para ser top 3 como maximo. inclusive, dias antes comente q esta miss deveria haver esperado algunos anos para ir participar de miss world. de repente, podia ir a miss universe 2018, mas nose sy binibining pilipinas permite q ganadoras de miss mundo filipinas participe. sy permitir, creo q esta miss deveria tratar almenos.

su oratoria era excelente, mas falto ser mas natural, porq su entrevista final de mw 2016 era copia de su entrevista final de miss mundo filipinas 2016. uso palavras diferentes, mas de todos modos era copia. por esso q me agrado muxo mas su entrevista de stephanie (aparte q fisicamente stephanie me parece muxo mas presiosa), por ser sincera, autentica.

 Batistuamor, parece que hay cosas que los jueces vieron que los demás no vieron. A los filipinos se les olvidó que este es un certamen de inteligencia más que nada; la filipina no fue estudiante universitaria y tiene un certificado en música solamente, no pude encontrar nada que dijera que ella hubiera cursado estudios universitarios para graduarse o estudios de post-grado. La niña era modelo y escribía. Tampoco he visto en ningún sitio que ella hable varios idiomas.  Stephanie, en cambio, es universitaria y habla tres idiomas. Stephanie es muy sencilla, es altísima, parece modelo y tiene porte de reina.




Los filipinos no deben negar que los latinoamericanos tenemos mejor ojo para elegir candidatas. Se les sigue olvidando que cuando ellos nacieron ya Osmel Sousa y Ana Santisteban se habían graduado de la escuela.

Argument #1. 
The same reason that India started losing after their glorious years in the 90's
If you remember the 90's, you remember the glorious years of the pageant powerhouse India. Year after year India sent great women that were very competitive. But then something changed.
The Miss India's that followed were a little fake and very rehearsed. And that was their downfall. They studied the successful Miss India and started copying them and it really became obvious that they weren't their own best self. Instead, they were pretending to be someone else. That's exactly what i think of Catriona. I LOVE Catriona. She has soooo much beauty and elegance but at Miss World she wasn't her own person. I highlighted this earlier and got verbally attacked for that by filipino pageant fans (the attack theory is part of my argument#2...wait for that). Catriona's beauty and elegance got her to a well deserved Top 5 spot. However, it was her lack of spontaneity that cost her the crown. I think she lack this spontaneity throughout the pageant and it showed but it especially showed during the Top 5 QnA. Catriona had a prepared answer for the Top 5. In fact, her answer was EXTREMELY similar to her Miss World Philippines answer. Now, I'm pretty sure that not every one watching the show may have heard that answer before but some of the judges (at least one if not more) had heard Catriona deliver that prepared answer before. As far as I remember, Miss World requires national directors to submit tapes of their national pageant (if a national pageant took place). I'm pretty sure Julia Morley had heard Catriona deliver the EXTREMELY similar answer during the Miss World Philippines. The other judges could have easily seen it to because it widely available on youtube. I hadn't seen the Miss World Philippines pageant but when I felt Catriona could win the crown, I started to look up clips of her on youtube and her answer was one of the 3 clips I saw about her. I'm not a judge so I have no need to be as thorough as they do. If I could identify that the answer was similar to her Miss World Philippines answer, I'm sure the judges (who are much more thorough) did too.
The other problem with her answer was that she had prepared for a very different question. The traditional Miss World Top 5 question has always been - "Why do you think you deserve to be Miss World". This year, they didn't ask that question.Instead, Catriona got asked What qualities do you think a Miss World should have. Catriona started off by answer the question she was asked but then went straight to answering the question she wasn't asked.That was the 2nd give away that she had rehearsed her answer a little too much.


2.Argument#2 -
Fanatic Filipinos just like Fanatic Indians of the early 2000's created a hostile environment
I have a lot of Filipinos friends and I ADORE them but some of the Filipino pageant fans can be extreme. Does it affect the outcome? I don't know but I sure think people tend to gravitate toward nicer people. Again, this is not a generalization of the entire filipino population because I personally know many filipinos who are AMAZING. However, many Filipino pageant fans have a tendency to constantly attack other countries. This fanatics has created a general dislike of filipino queens. I remember the early 2000's. This was a time when India did care about pageants (Most Indians do not care about pageants anymore). One of my favorite Miss India winners ever was Sara Connor. I remember the early pageant message boards (voy etc) where Indians were bashing other delegates. It really created an environment of dislike for the Indian queens by other countries (both contestants and supporters). 
I feel that the current batch of cocky filipino fans are like that cocky batch of Indians from the early 2000's. Unfortunately though, I think it may be a little more extreme with filipinos (maybe because the internet has evolved considerably since then). This is a real problem because you really create an environment where every other country hates you. Did Sara Connor lose because of that? I don't know but I sure as hell know that very few non-Indians wanted her to win. And she did go unplaced.
This year there were many contestants who felt bullied by Filipino pageant fans to the point where some even complained to their fellow contestants. Do you really think that after being bullied a contestant is going to think highly of the country that is bullying them? Catriona had to issue a statement to request Filipinos to stop the bullying. Why do you think she had to do this? 
Do you think a judge witnessing all the bullying would be more inclined to select a Miss Philippines as Miss World or less inclined?

You literally have the contestants standing upto Filipino pageant fans and shouting Puerto Rico when the Filipino pageants fans were shouting Philippines after Catriona lost. Why do you think the contestants would group up together to stand up to Filipinos pageants fans?

precisamente, miss mundo filipinas me agrada (bastante bonita de cara), mas comparando a puerto rico, esta claro q stephanie supera por todo: genuina, mas linda, mas porte, muxo mas carismatica.

aparte q como comente, durante miss world, miss filipinas no me impacto, cuasi siempre vi super apagada comparando a otras candidatas.
