I like to propose a question to those who have gotten to love and know me and have stood next to me throughout my life’s journey: Would you have ever thought it’d be possible that I could or would ever give up on a dream? Hearing the current Miss Universe’s story that she shared with the world on how she was able to turn a traumatic event in her life into something so powerful as to benefit others, it resonated deeply within me. I am honored and blessed to share with you that I am starting a new page in an otherwise unfinished chapter in my book. It will be a chapter that will be written with the same passion, determination and love as other journeys and life’s experiences I have encountered in my life. The difference this time is that through undergoing the most challenging year of my life, it has fuel my pen with greater passion and dedication, transforming my spirit my core and pouring it unto the most valuable attribute I see in a human being, to become a humanitarian. Through a humanitarian’s work, selflessness and dedication to others helps inspire others to do the same. I have been given the opportunity and found through the darkest moment in my life this past year, the light of what my calling has become and that is to be a representative, an humanitarian agent for social positive change. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank the Miss Florida USA Organization for giving me the opportunity to be able to once again reach for a dream I hope will open doors where I can proudly serve as the ambassador of dreams and bring value to our Sunshine State. To my amazing family, friends and those who have supported me along the way, I thank you for standing by me once again as we face this new endeavor.
