"I’m Sophie, I’m 27 and I have lived in South West London for the past five years, although I am originally from a small mining valley in South Wales. I’m currently learning a second language as my partner is Italian and I would love to be able to speak fluently with his family without him having to help with translation. After graduating from Cardiff university with a business management degree, I set up my own business called ‘Sophie Elizabeth London’ which specialises in bespoke phone cases and accessories. Having my own business was always a dream of mine, and I’m really proud of how much it’s grown over the past four years. My main passion in life however is raising awareness of acne and skin conditions and the negative effects they can have on a person’s confidence. I firmly believe that loving and appreciating yourself can help overcome such issues. This is why I set up my own YouTube channel where I discuss these matters. "I am a master’s degree graduate in International Economic Policy and Analysis and I currently work as a business development manager at a leading economic consultancy. As part of my job, I often speak at global conferences addressing CEOs and world leaders. As the only female in my team, I have noticed a consistent lack of female representation in leadership positions. There are only seven female CEOs in FTSE 100 companies in the UK. This imbalance of power has made me determined to see more women in leadership. Women empowerment is therefore my core advocacy. I created the "Be Audacious" movement. A movement run by women for women. I was inspired to create and direct an all-female online series, bringing together female leaders from all over the universe. The series celebrates their achievements and inspires others through their stories of resilience. As part of the "Be Audacious" movement, I also wrote and released a song inspired by the stories of the incredible women who took part in the series. My music has accumulated over half a million streams on Spotify and Apple Music. My goal is to build an army of Audacious women who are unapologetic about who they are!"

"I’m Stephanie, a cancer research scientist currently studying a master’s degree in translational oncology, and I have plans in place to pursue my PhD following completion. I have worked on a variety of clinical trials testing new cancer drugs and procedures, and I am part of an exciting project focusing on patient stratification and personalised medicine. In my spare time I compete in equestrian sports, ballroom and Latin dancing and I perform as a classical-crossover vocalist, receiving a nomination for a Classic Brit Award 2018 for ‘The Sound of Classical Music’. As a result of my accolades, I was introduced as a Contemporary Polymath and Modern Renaissance Woman by The British Library in September last year. I am a purpose-driven individual, and I obtain great pleasure from using my skills and expertise for fundraising and assisting within the global community. I created ‘The Magical Memories Foundation’, an initiative that uses performers as popular fictional characters to ‘create magical memories for children and their families’ who are burdened with upsetting circumstances. "I’m Joanna Johnson, I’m 26 years old and I live in Blackpool – a seaside town formerly known as the ‘capital’ of pageantry in Great Britain. As a self-employed hair stylist in a leading salon, I have recently branched and started the development of my own personal brand, ‘Hair by Joanna Johnson.’ I’m looking forward to seeing where this challenge will take me in my career. I have been working in the beauty industry for over a decade, and by far my favourite part of my job is being able to help women feel good about themselves for the time that they spend in my chair. Outside of work, I am a family-oriented person. I’m most at home surrounded by the people I love and find that they encourage me to be the best version of myself. I also love to maintain my health and fitness by working out regularly. One of the qualities I admire most about myself is my tenacity; I have been competing in this industry for eight years. "I am a 25-year-old Sri Lankan and I currently live in London. I have achieved everything I have put my mind to academically speaking, I not only have a BA but went to complete my MA at the University of Westminster. I have always set myself very ambitious academic goals and still continue to do so. I work in marketing for a stockbroker and I am currently studying for the International Certificate in Wealth Management and Investments, this is a career I want to pursue. In my spare time, I love to blog, I write about current events, books and any other topics which I feel strongly about. I also have a youtube channel where I talk about beauty and fashion. I always try my best to keep fit during a very hectic week so I go to kickboxing as well as going to the gym. I consider myself to be an advocate of women in finance as well as having strong opinions on the importance of financial literacy for the next generation, especially considering the current climate. After the competition, I will be making sure to have hands-on experience with projects which make this possible."

"I’m Abigail and I live in Dundee, Scotland. After graduating high school, I decided to study a Bachelor of Science degree in anatomy and physiology as I was fascinated by the complexity of the human body. After completing this degree in 2015, I embarked on a five year dental degree as it allowed me to directly apply the scientific knowledge I had learned. I now work full-time as a dentist and am studying for my masters in medical statistics from the University of Oxford. Throughout my studies, sport has helped me to de-stress, but it also meant I witnessed team-mates traumatise their teeth and I now understand the psychological and financial impact this can have on an individual. This knowledge has led me to develop ‘saving smiles’ which helps give people the information to deal with traumatised teeth to help them avoid unnecessary treatment in the future."

"I'm 26 years old and I currently work at West FM as an on-air radio presenter and I really do love my job! Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted to be a presenter and I'm hoping to build up my experience and progress on to TV presenting. I’ve also always wanted to help as many people as I can and after Helen (an elderly friend of mine) suddenly passed away I decided to start my own home help company in memory of her. I launched it on her birthday and named the company after her. Anything from assisting with a weekly grocery shop, helping with household jobs, accompanying the elderly to appointments or even just catching up over a coffee. Not only does this give them reliable friend to chat to and confide in but it also helps to combat loneliness as believe it or not in the year 2020 is something that the world is still tackling. I'm proud to say I've expanded my business over the last year and take great pleasure in knowing that I'm helping those in need and that its all in memory of Helen. Also a bonus that I have now made many close friends in their 80s."

"I’m Felicity, I’m 25 years old, and I grew up in the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent before moving to live in the beautiful East Sussex countryside. East Sussex is known for its rolling countryside, medieval villages and gorgeous coastlines. It is such a diverse and beautiful part of our country and I love to explore it with my crazy cocker spaniel, Captain. I am a huge lover of art and studied this at college. Art allows you to express yourself and as I later found out it really helps you to process thoughts and emotions and gain confidence in yourself. I currently work full time as a sales executive in the landscape design industry, and previously I worked in the high-end jewellery and diamond sector for a company that was By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen. Both these jobs have taught me confidence and interpersonal skills that I really struggled with growing up. I spent so many years not believing in myself and thinking I wasn’t good enough. So many young women feel this way, which is why I am a strong believer in helping young women express themselves to become more confident."

"I’m Jade, a 26-year-old customer service representative and social responsibility advocate from Sunderland. I’m fortunate to work with the local community as part of my job having the opportunity to volunteer, fundraise and raise awareness for a number of local charities and causes. Giving back is something I’ve naturally gravitated to since being a child where I was nominated for Young Neighbour of the Year Award through helping my elderly neighbour with her day to day chores and more recently having travelled to Zambia in Africa where I helped fundraise for the building of a new school. Throughout my time there I helped to paint the school and took classes for the children an experience I’ll be forever grateful for. Alongside travelling and exploring new cultures I enjoy spending time with friends and family, I’m a big family girl and love nothing more than being with them. In life I believe it’s important to help if you have the opportunity to do so, I support the campaign to lower the age of cervical cancer screening for young women and raise awareness of the importance of the tests. I want to reduce the taboo around cervical screening and encourage women to attend their smears. Miss Universe Great Britain would be an amazing platform for me to do this, I believe when women support each other incredible things happen."

"My name is Lisa and I am 23 years old. I was born and bred in Scotland, and I am bilingual in English and Chinese. I graduated with a law and French degree from the University of Edinburgh, and I also spent a year living in the South of France. I love to dance and will strut out my moves anytime, anywhere, whether it is up on stage, out on the streets, or in my bedroom. My dad is very musical and taught me to sing and play various instruments such as the piano, guitar, and saxophone. My mum runs a small restaurant in Edinburgh where I spend a lot of my time helping out. The world fascinates me and I am constantly exploring different food, places, and cultures. "My day to day life is spent on hospital placements as a final year student nurse. Although difficult at times, it is a rewarding profession to say the least. In fact, a patient of mine encouraged me to apply to the Miss Universe GB competition and now here I am! When I'm not working, I write for my blog and as a mental health advocate, I write for Young Minds where I use my skills to encourage young people in times of adversity. I have a radio show called Michaelaslifestyle and plan to launch my mental health podcast "Mentality" alongside my show in Cambridge. I have always been involved in local charity work and youth engagement whether it's through working in my community as a young advisor, speaking on a panel to uplift victims of FGM, writing for my local newspaper or spreading awareness about climate change. I am a creative and a freelance journalist with experience at ITV, CNN, BBC as well as other media houses. I have an intrinsic desire to be a role model to all those I encounter in essence, countenance and demeanour. I am humbled to be a finalist and hope to empower, encourage and enrich the lives of others through the work I do."

"I am Priya, I am a lawyer and carer for my grandparents. Whilst growing up the thought of becoming a lawyer was but a distant dream and to be able to practice now feels wonderful. Hence why my motto is ‘Nothing in life is impossible’ with hard work, focus and determination. I aspire to help young individuals from all walks of life believe in themselves, to understand that their voice can and will be heard without judgement. I wish to give hope to those who think they cannot achieve, when they most certainly can especially as I have been told myself in the past that I cannot. This is something I feel very strongly about. Miss Universe Great Britain is such a great platform to show individuals that having and using their voice matters, especially now, more than ever. Something else I feel passionate about is sports and the outdoors. I am a keen runner and have ran many marathons for numerous charities. One of which is Operation Smile, a charity that is very close to my heart, as well as taking care of my grandparents. "I am from Bromley, a beautiful town in Kent. When I was young, I was incredibly shy and tomboyish. Besides studying, I participated in interschool competitions and won awards in arts and athletics. My family consists of, my mum, grandpa, and nana. Despite the difficulties, they always taught me to look beyond, to be courageous and hardworking. They allowed my creativity to blossom, that spread positivity and happiness within and around. In weekends, I volunteered in NHS hospitals, orphanages, and old-age homes where I spent time entertaining, teaching and feeding patients and children. Innocence and accepting nature of children and animals inspires me and fills my heart with joy. In my spare time, I love watching Thriller/Sci-Fi movies and upcycling old furniture, and clothes. I speak four languages and in process of learning three more. Growing up I observed the gender hierarchy and its detrimental effects on women in the community, including my mother. To change this dynamic, I worked with several organisations supporting women, organising funds, and motivational talks encouraging their sense of independence and individuality. "I have been very fortunate to follow my life-long passion of becoming an actress. Since graduating drama school I have had the opportunity to tour the country with the UK No.1 Tour of Gallowglass. I continue to work as an actress and more recently as a playwright. In the near future, I hope to bring my writing to life and star in my own show. I also work as a freelance teacher in both acting and cheerleading. I love being a teacher because I get to inspire the next generation to chase their dreams and to use their voices.
